These pages are provided to fill the gap in information sources provided by Tracing Your Ancestors in Warwickshire (TYAIW).  They are a work in progress at present, and we would be grateful for details of any additional sources and of any amendments to these pages.

The area covered is that of metropolitan Birmingham as it is at the start of the 21st century. Many parts of the city were outside of the city boundaries in the 19th and early 20th centuries but have been included for completeness.

You should also consult the various indexes provided by the society and the search services available which researching ancestors who lived and/or worked in Birmingham. Details are available on the Midland Ancestor search service pages.

Listed left are Districts/Parish Churches within the City of Birmingham boundary. Clicking on the District will take you to the District Information Page which also shows an approximate Ordnance Survey Grid Reference. Where Birmingham has been indicated this means Birmingham Central.
