About Us
Midland Ancestors’ London Group is open to all who now live in London and the surrounding counties (and sometimes further afield) who were either born in the Midlands or who have midland ancestors.
We meet four times a year at The Society of Genealogists (SOG) Lecture Room on the 2nd Saturday in January, 1st Saturday in April (unless it’s Easter, then it’s the 2nd Saturday) and 1st Saturdays in July and October. Talks start at 11.00, with coffee and biscuits available from 10.15 in the common room. Please check the calendar for our next meeting. Occasionally we have an away day/weekend instead of the July meeting.
The SOG can be found at 14 Charterhouse Buildings, Goswell Road, London, EC1M 7BA. There is no parking. Nearest tubes are either Barbican (turn left, then left again at the traffic lights with Clerkenwell Road) or Farringdon (left if exiting from original entrance, left, right onto Clerkenwell Road and right again at the traffic lights with Goswell Road) Both are on the Circle/Hammersmith & City/Metropolitan lines.
