First Steps in Family History (April)
Is intended for absolute beginners. It concentrates on the availability and use of all the usual sources after 1837 (the beginning of registration of births deaths and marriages). In particular registration, surnames, wills, censuses, the IGI, and street and trade directories are dealt with. See Events Calendar for more info.
Further Steps in Family History (October)
Is intended for those who have taken one or more lines back beyond 1837, and deals in greater depth with sources available in county and national archives for the period before 1837. See Events Calendar for more info.
National Archives Introductory Session
Intended for those who have possibly wanted to visit the National Archives, found their website a little daunting and then left it at that. Also for those who have visited perhaps just once and felt they have not had the best out of it.
