Wolverhampton: Dudley Street Origins, Development and Warring Neighbours

Thu 27th September 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm BST

  • « Stourbridge: Louis Etienne Goule and a Threadbare Wellington Quilt
  • Introduction to Family History Course »

What is now one of the main shopping streets of Wolverhampton has a long history going back to the early settlement of the city.  Jackie has been researching Dudley Street for almost two years and has gathered a vast archive of material and will include a selection of the available information in her talk and then only up to the early 1900’s.  Whilst researching she has travelled to various Archives and Record Offices, including the National Archives, to explore records and examine documents and has, therefore, used a variety of sources.   Learn about these records and what you might discover from these about your own families.
