Stourbridge: Prince Rupert of the Rhine

Tue 20th March 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm GMT

  • « Kenilworth:
  • Outing to The National Archives »

Max Keen, local historian and retired teacher, will tell us about “Prince Rupert Of The Rhine”, King Charles’ Pirate Prince.

Nephew of King Charles 1st, Prince Rupert was one of the Civil Wars most paradoxical heroes. Handsome, impetuous and courageous he was the epitome of the ‘Cavalier’ yet he was born a German protestant. Max will be in full costume.
