My Ancestors Were Boring – They were only Ag Labs

Presenter Jacqui Kirk

Inspired by an off the cuff comment, Jacqui aims in the talk to show that agricultural labourers and their lives were not boring. From ladies of questionable virtue to agricultural show prize-winners, the traces of our forebears are everywhere if you only look. Even if they aren’t mentioned by name, the farms they worked on, the villages and cottages they lived in, the events all around them can help you bring them to life. Jacqui is a local professional researcher.

An Online event using Zoom. Visit this page to find out how we do it.
