Although my training has taken me back to the thirteenth century – something I’m still actively researching after all these years – my professional career, working on TV shows such as Who Do You Think You Are, has allowed me to share the importance of history and heritage, whether it’s national, community or personal, with a wide audience, and hopefully show people that an understanding of the past is even more important than ever for the future of our own lives and society.”
