Birmingham: The Green Room Plaque

Sat 6th January 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm GMT

  • « New Years Day Holiday
  • Executive Committee Meeting »

A bronze memorial plaque commemorating twelve actors who died
serving in WWI was discovered in a Rugby sale-room. The stories of the
lives and deaths of these actors will be revealed and show something of
the acting profession at the turn of the 20th Century. Military archives,
contemporary newspapers and other sources allow their stories to be
told, and family history techniques traced some living relatives and
family photographs.

Speaker: John Frearson
