FURTHER STEPS IN FAMILY HISTORY
CONGRATULATIONS! you have made it back to the beginning of Civil Registration in 1837, but where do you go next?
You will now have to look at different records:
Parish Registers and Bishop’s Transcripts,
Poor Law Records
Early Wills; not proved in Law Courts but in Ecclesiastical Courts.
These records are more likely found in local Archives and Record Offices and not in National Archives.
There will also be a short talk on DNA testing.
