My Millward Family – 50 Years Of Research
A Presentation by Jackie Cotterill
Jackie says – This is the story of researching my paternal family and what started as a journey of hope, after 50 years, I am no further forward – or back – than when I started in 1969. But what it does show is just how researching your family history has changed over the years.
Jackie is, as we would expect, an avid genealogist. She has been a family historian for more than 50 years.

The Kingsley Norris Memorial Lecture is always by a society member.
It was from a germ of an idea of Dr. Stuart Kingsley Norris, retired surgeon at Birmingham Eye Hospital, that BMSGH now Midland Ancestors, was established in 1963. As its pioneering founder member, after his untimely death in 1972, this annual lecture was set up in his memory.
An Online event using Zoom. Visit this page to find out how we do it.
