When The Lights Went Out – Birmingham Goes To War

Speaker – Andrew Lound

Looking at Birmingham people during the 39-45 war, focussing on W.T. Avery’s famous Soho Foundry as well as the darkened streets of Birmingham. The Soho Foundry saw many employees volunteer and had many reserved occupations, Andrew has been able to access new information from both German and British archives for this presentation.

Andrew is well known local speaker and commentator and has appeared numerous times on local radio and television.

All registrants will be acknowledged with joining instructions included. Registration closes at 12:00 noon the day prior. Meeting times are prompt, please allow yourself good time. “Doors Open” at 1:30 pm for 2:00 pm start.
