The finding of an old auction sale notice during the refurbishment of an inglenook fireplace eventually led to a search for proof that Goule was the anonymous subject of a Worcester villages folklore. Was he really Wellington’s army surgeon and was it really his quilt? Wendy Larmour will tell us.
