Research Before 1837
Whilst we are all in confinement or otherwise prevented from socialising, Midland Ancestors has been working to put together a series of online talks to take us through the summer months. To kick-off the series, society member and trustee, Chair of our Bromsgrove Group and professional genealogist Mike Sharpe will make an online presentation entitled How To Do Research Before 1837. Using the Zoom video conferencing platform, it will be a PowerPoint presentation with Mike providing a voiceover.
It will last about 45 mins with an opportunity for some Q & A afterwards.
Participation is available to members only and is limited to 100 participants strictly on a first-come first-served basis. Interested persons will need to register first, as advised below.
Equipment required will be computer with monitor and speakers, a camera is not required. You could use a mobile phone at a pinch but with such a small screen you would not get best benefit.
You will need access to the Zoom app. If you want to take part then please Register –
Send an email to eventsonline@midanc.uk and put Research before 1837 into the title box, also put in the body of the email your full name. Please do not put anything else in the email. Nicknames, pet names and device names will not get you in.
Full instructions will be sent out as we get closer to the day.
This is the first major online session for Midland Ancestors so there will be some degree of learning associated with it, all are requested to have patience and understanding.
