Wed 9th October 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm BST
  • « North Staffs Branch – Research / Help evening
  • Stourbridge Group – ‘The Real ‘Allo ‘Allo’ »

Speaker: John Frearson

The story of four generations of a Leicestershire Family. Great-grandfather Ashton raised cattle in Leicestershire for the London market. He had 14 children – and three brothers married three sisters. This is the story of the struggles of one branch of the family that moved to Bedfordshire in the judgemental late 19th and early 20th centuries. [Family history research based on the discovery of a house full of archival material – and extensive further research.]
