Greater Birmingham Marriage Index

Greater Birmingham Marriage Index 1776 – 1837

The parishes covered by this Index are: All Saints, Aston, Edgbaston, Frankley, Handsworth, Harborne, Kings Norton, Northfield, Sheldon, St. George, St. Martin, St. Philip, St. Thomas, and Yardley.  A few Quaker references are also available.

The Index only gives the names of the two people being married, the year or date of the marriage and the parish where it took place. Some entries may give other details, for example, whether widowed, from another parish or if by Licence, but this was not a requirement when the registers were transcribed for the Index. The original registers for the parishes covered by the Greater Birmingham Marriage Index are kept at the Library of Birmingham.

A £4.00 non-returnable search fee per surname for up to three entries from the Index. Additional entries at 25p each.
