WESTON-UPON-AVON

The parish was originally in Gloucestershire but was transferred to Warwickshire in 1931. The village is about three miles south west of Stratford-upon-Avon. The cluster of seventeenth century timber-framed and thatched cottages around the church, which is much as it was in the fifteenth century, makes an attractive village scene. Milcote, a modern parish, was a hamlet in Weston- upon-Avon.
