ULLENHALL

This chapelry parish of Wootton Wawen lies a few miles east of that parish. The remains of the old church (the chancel of the original building) are of interest. The present parish church was built in 1875. Barrels Hall, the home of the Knight family, was severely damaged by fire in 1933. It was there that Henrietta, Lady Luxborough (1699-1756) had a literary circle which included the poets William Somerville and William Shenstone.
