LITTLE COMPTON

Little Compton is in the extreme south of the county, four miles north of Chipping Norton. It was originally in Gloucestershire but was transferred to Warwickshire in 1845, and to the Diocese of Oxford in 1919. It is a secluded and attractive village, many houses being built of the Cotswold stone which is characteristic of this area.
