FILLONGLEY

The village is six miles north west of Coventry and in area is considerably larger than average. George Eliot, the novelist, was born four miles from Fillongley, at South Farm, Arbury. The old Hall is separated from the village by the M6 motorway. The village appears in Domesday Book. Wood End and Chapel Green are hamlets (there is also a Chapel Green in the parish of Napton on the Hill).
