DESCRIPTION:Researching Criminal Records with Penny Smith\nWe are frequently shocked when finding out how severely our criminal ancestors were punished for what now seem the slightest of offences. In 1868 in Wolverhampton\, a sentence of 3 months hard labour was given to a 16 year old lad for the theft of a cap. Penny will guide us through the various ways to find the criminals in our ancestry\, we all have black sheep somewhere. \nPenny is Chair of our Wolverhampton Group and Vice-Chair Genealogy of Midland Ancestors. \n  \nRegister by using this link – Criminals \nAll registrants will be acknowledged with full joining instructions included.\nRegistration closes at 12:00 noon the day prior and is currently restricted to 50 people.\nMeeting times are prompt\, please allow yourself good time. “Doors Open” at 1:30 pm for 2:00 pm start. \nVisit this page to find out how we do it. \n  \nMidland Ancestors presentations shown via Zoom are the intellectual property of the speaker presenting.
